West Los Angeles Courtyard
This backyard was a total transformation! We demolished the existing deck, grass & concrete and replaced the entire area with free-form brick in dirt so moss could grow between the cracks. We randomly placed rocks and broken concrete to give it an 'aged' effect, built a pergola, and added a large pond with a waterfall to turn the hardly-used old backyard into a charming courtyard with tons of character. The pergola will eventually be covered with Bouganvillea, the wall behind the pond with bamboo, and grasses and lavender were sprinkled throughout the courtyard.
