Westchester Architectural
When we first got here this cute little house had so much potential, but it was a real mess! They had serious drainage problems throughout the property, the backyard was totally unlevel, and nothing about the landscape was in keeping with the clients' clean, modern style. We first addressed the drainage problems and made sure to use only low-water plants, pavers & rocks in problem areas. We gutted the existing grass & slate in the patio and poured custom concrete pavers -- and we turned their old planter box into a seating area. Plant selections include succulents, Flax, Yucca, Papyrus, Black Bamboo, Red Banana, Kanagroo Paws, Cannas, and a variety of grasses. And Podocarpus was used throughout to eventually cover the existing cinderblock walls & fences. The result is an Architectural-inspired landscape design that will continue to look better as the plants grow in.
