Sherman Oaks Hillside
This modern home sits on a hillside overlooking the San Fernando Valley, but the immediate view had a lot to be desired. The backyard was brick with the only green being a mismatched rose garden and an un-kept hillside of overgrown pink Oleanders that clashed with everything around them. Because their living room has large windows and faces the hillside we proposed to completely gut and re-landscape the entire thing. Hundreds of plants later, the hillside is like moving art that changes year-round. Numerous varieties of grasses were planted along with Verbena, Pennisetum, Salvias, Russian Sage, Cannas & Papyrus that give a whole new meaning to the word 'view.' The rest of the property was done with a modern edge that better suited the home and gave it a whole new identity.
